Renovations

Since taking on the property in 2008 Jane & I have worked full time on a major renovation of the house with tremendous input from a small number of committed local tradesmen & specialists.
We’ve tried to preserve as much of the original character of the house as possible using traditional materials and recycling where possible..
..but at the same time incorporating modern systems and quality fittings to ensure we have a comfortable living environment.
“Dolish Farmhouse remains a family home first
and foremost but is now far too nice not to share!”
Future Plans
..include in the short term the extension of the kitchen, the addition of a conservatory, the enlargement and landscaping of the courtyard, the creation of a self-contained 2 bedroomed annexe/letting unit in the former Cider Loft and the erection of a polytunnel in the old orchard. After that we plan for the conversion of some of the barns for further holiday accommodation and maybe the creation of a large wildlife pond or recreational fishing lake in the field. Watch these spaces! (blog on its way!)

Just 5 mins from Dolish Farmhouse is DUMPDON HILL - site of an Iron Age hill fort with stunning 360º views.
A recent guest enjoys a stroll just after an exiting day flying golden eagle on the hill with local master falconer. (click)
